Description
Chateau Yvonne was first founded by monks in the 16th century, though was resuscitated to life post-abandonment by Jean-Francois and Yvonne Lamunière 500 years later. ‘Le Gory’ comes from a special lieu-dit just 200 meters from the Loire River. Fruit is hand-harvested and aged for 15 months in a combination of oak (12 months) and steel (3 months). The final wine is rich, balanced, and mineral-driven, marked by notes of yellow fruit, flint, and green apple driven acidity.
